Professor Hira Lal Chakravarty Award 2011 - 2012
Scope
Professor Hira Lal Chakravarty Award instituted in 1984 by The Indian Science Congress Association, is intended to honour talented Young Scientists who have carried out significant researches in Botany within the country. The award carries a cash amount of Rs.4,000/- and a Certificate. The awardee will be required to deliver a lecture on the topic of his/her specialization during the Annual Session of the Indian Science Congress Association in the Section of Plant Sciences. The Scientists eligible for consideration of this award must have Ph.D. degree in any branch of Botany. The award would be based on original independent published work carried out in India within three years prior to the award.
Age
The age of the candidate should be below 40 years as on December 31st, 2010.
Presentation of Award
The presentation of award to the recipient will be made in the Section of Plant Sciences during the 99th Annual Session to be held in Bhubaneswar, under the auspices of KIIT University during January, 2012.
T.A. (First Class/A.C.III tier round trip railway fare) and D.A. as per ISCA rules will be provided to the awardee.
Last Date of Submitting Application is July 31, 2011
