Prof. G.K.Manna Memorial Award
With a donation from Three children of Prof.G.K.Manna Dr. Sandeep Manna , Mrs Rupasree Roy and Dr.Indranil Manna , on behalf of Mrs. Latika Manna, widow of Prof. G.K.Manna ISCA has instituted this award in 2010-2011, to be given annually to a distinguished Scientist of the Country in the section of Animal & Veterinary and Fishery Sciences.
The Award carries a cash amount of Rs.10,000/-, Citation and Plaque. The awardee is entitled to T.A. (as per his/ her entitlement) and D.A.as per ISCA rules, for attending the Session of the Science Congress in which he/she will receive the award.
The awardee shall deliver a lecture at the annual Session of The Indian Science Congress Association in the Section of Animal & Veterinary and Fishery Sciences on a topic of his/her specialisation.
Nominations for the award are invited from members of ISCA Council and from the Heads of Universities/IITs, Research Institutes and Learned Societies.
Nominations thus received will be sent to three experts (one of whom will be the President, Section of Animal & Veterinary and Fishery Sciences of the year and the other two will be nominated by the General President) for opinion
The final selection will be made by a Selection Committee comprising of General President, General Secretary (Scientific Activities), Treasurer, and General Secretary (Membership Affairs) out of the candidates recommended by the experts.
The last date for receiving nominations is July 31 each year.
